  5. 2 tbsp rice flour

  9. 2 tbsp oil
  10. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  11. 1 pinch hing
  12. 1-2 chopped green chillies
  13. 10-12 curry leaves

Steps to make to make Sooji Khandvi

  1. Take a grinder jar add sooji (Rava) grind it into a fine powder, and keep aside.
  2. Take a grinder jar to add grounded sooji, rice flour, ginger piece, green chilies, and curd and grind it into a smooth paste, if required add little water and make a paste then sieve this mixture and cover, keep aside for 12-15 minutes.
  3. Then add red chili flakes, salt, and chopped coriander leaves and mix it well. If the batter is thick add some more water, perfect flowing consistency. Sooji batter is ready.
  4. Heat a Kadai, place a stand in it, add approx 1/2 litre water, and cover it till boiling.
  5. Take a plate, grease it with little oil then pour 1 small ladle full of batter into a greased plate and spread it evenly.
  6. Now place the plate on the stand, cover it properly and steam for 4-5 minutes. Then remove the plate from the Kadai, keep it aside and let it cool.
  7. After cooling demold from the edges with the help of a knife, then cut in strips and roll it gently (if you want to spread any dry chutney then cut in strips and roll it), as shown in fig.
  8. Take a small tadka pan heat oil add mustard seeds, hing, green chilies, curry leaves, and saute for 2-3 minutes, and spread the tadka over the sooji rolls.Sooji Khandvi is ready to serve with any chutney.
