  1. Soak basmati rice for an hour. Cut onions in thin slices. Cut potatoes in half
  2. After the mutton is cooker.Take a vessel heat oil and fry onion till golden brown. Remove and keep aside. In the same oil fry potatoes till golden brown. Crush the onion and mix it with curd.
  3. In a pressure cooker heat oil and add ginger garlic paste and saute for 30 seconds. Add mutton and fry till water from mutton evaporates. Add coriander and cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt as per your taste. Mix and close the cooker. Cook on high flame till 1 whistle. Slow the flame to medium and pressure cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Add mixture of curd and crushed onion. Also add biryani masala. Add fried potatoes too and mix.
  5. Boil soaked basmati rice in salted water and drain. In a vessel spread thin layer of rice and then put cooked mutton. Cover it with left over rice. Soak saffron in milk and sprinkle on rice. Cover the vessel and cook on medium flame for 30 minutes.
